Hester Maria Peirce is a U.S. attorney who serves as a member of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). She served as director of the Financial Markets Working Group at the George Mason University Mecatus Center and also served as a staff member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs and the SEC. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Case Western Reserve University and a doctorate in juris from Yale University.
