BANNEDについて
BANNED is a short-form video social app on Solana built around the slogan LOVE, BAN, BECOME FAMOUS. Users post seven-second videos and the community votes LOVE or BAN to decide what stays: heavily banned content is taken down, its creator loses part of their staked tokens, and community members who take part in review earn token rewards, with staking doubling as the entry requirement for review and an anti-Sybil check against vote manipulation, handing curation back to the community on the premise that users control the algorithm.
The $BANNED token is issued on Solana; holders stake it to gain voting power, tying economic incentives to governance duties, and videos that attract significant attention can be minted as NFTs to give creators a direct monetisation route, with the token also used to reward highly engaged creators and penalise low-quality posts. The project officially launched on Solana in May 2025, with the official contract address EecSMXvvhszENGs7SAWMejLgBHBAhCvkMDWY88JR7hog.
In May the seven-second video app launched on Solana and listed on CoinMarketCap, with the iOS build released the same month; users decide which clips survive through LOVE and BAN votes, banned content is removed and creators lose part of their staked tokens. Disclosure has been limited since: the token is not on Solana's verified registry, several wallet and market sites showed extremely low liquidity and no usable quotes in 2026, while the app download page remains accessible.
Later stages set out in the BANNED whitepaper include minting high-performing videos as dynamic NFTs, expanding to EVM-compatible chains and using staking weight to curb Sybil manipulation of moderation votes.
