Bitfinity Network

Bitfinity Network is a Bitcoin Layer 2 and EVM-compatible chain built on the Internet Computer, letting developers use Solidity to write smart contracts that mobilize Bitcoin liquidity. It solves Bitcoin's lack of native smart contracts and the fact that most bridges rely on custody or fragile multisig: through the Chain-Key threshold signature scheme (threshold ECDSA/Schnorr) it builds a decentralized BTC bridge where key shards regenerate periodically and no single node holds the full key, connecting ckBTC with EVM contracts. Ordinals, BRC-20 and other assets can also be orchestrated inside this EVM.

In the ecosystem, Bitfinity sits as a Bitcoin EVM sidechain; unlike Rootstock's merged mining or Liquid's federation consensus, it uses the IC's cryptographic primitives rather than its own validator set to custody cross-chain keys. Its product line comprises the Bitfinity EVM, the BitFusion cross-chain SDK and ecosystem apps like Lendfinity and BetBTC, targeting developers who want to deploy BTC assets with familiar tools; the practical constraint is that the bridge's security assumption rests on the Internet Computer's node set and threshold-signature protocol, so its trust boundary differs from typical rollups or standalone L2s.
