In January 2026, U.S. exchanges began issuing Form 1099-DA to users and the IRS for the 2025 tax year; the form reports proceeds without cost basis and can inflate apparent gains, so CoinLedger put 1099-DA reconciliation and cross-wallet cost-basis rebuilding into its main filing workflow for the 2026 season.
CoinLedger's site in 2026 cites more than 700,000 users, $70 billion of processed transactions and $50 million saved through tax-loss harvesting, with imports from over 1,000 exchanges, wallets and blockchains and reports that load directly into TurboTax, TaxAct and H&R Block.
CoinLedger plans to localise reports for more national filing rules, grow the done-for-you service and enterprise accounting into a second revenue line, and keep the commitment not to sell user data.
