In September 2026 Gate passed 60 million registered users, taking about six months to go from 50 million to 60 million; on September 15 it integrated Circle's Arc chain across Gate Trenches, its wallet and market data, offering zero-gas trading for Arc assets from September 16.

On October 5 it completed its Q3 burn, permanently removing 1,987,321 GT worth $22.35 million, bringing cumulative burns to about 63.98% of the original 300 million supply and total supply to roughly 108 million; August reserves coverage stood at 127% on $8.215 billion. GT bottomed near $6–7 in August, recovered above $11 in early October, and its market cap exceeded $1.2 billion.

Future strategy and roadmap: Gate has turned GT deflation from a single engine of exchange profit into two: profit-funded buybacks plus consumption on Gate Layer, with cumulative burns at 63.32% of the original 300 million supply and another 2.57 million GT burned in the second quarter, and demand now tracking onchain activity rather than spot turnover alone since GT became the layer-2's only gas token. Spot still contributes 42% of revenue and futures 39%, so the transition depends on Perp DEX, Gate Fun and AI agents building onchain volume comparable to the centralized book. Sixty million users and cards in more than 40 markets are the distribution asset, while tokenised equities and RWA pull traditional assets into one margin account; the risk is that without sustained layer-2 activity, burns fall back on exchange profit alone.

Gate charges 0.10% maker and 0.10% taker on spot at VIP 0, 0.09% maker and 0.10% taker at VIP 5, and 0.01% maker with 0.02% taker at the top VIP 14 tier.

Gate's futures maker fee goes as low as 0.02%, and holding the GT token takes a further 20% off spot and futures trading fees.

Gate holds a Malta Financial Services Authority crypto-asset service provider licence under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, passported across Europe; a Japan Financial Services Agency crypto exchange registration; and a Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority licence.
