Monochrome
In 2026, Monochrome's spot Bitcoin (IBTC) and Ethereum (IETH) ETFs maintained Australia's lowest annual management fee (0.25%), continuing to attract institutional and retail allocations. In June Monochrome changed its auditor to strengthen compliance disclosure; by October assets under management (AUM) stood around $171 million to $173 million.
Monochrome's first Australian spot crypto ETF, launched in 2025, grew steadily in 2026, becoming a key gateway for regulated local crypto exposure.
Monochrome will keep expanding ETF product lines and AUM scale around its low-fee core, and explore more regulated crypto-asset funds and allocation tools.
Jeff Yew — Founder & CEO; founded Monochrome in 2021 after serving as CEO of Binance Australia.
Grayson McLeod — Chief Operating Officer; in crypto since 2016, joined in 2021 to run investment operations.
Casey Majchrzak — General Counsel; oversees legal and compliance.
Loretta Joseph — Regulatory Adviser; long involved in digital asset policy work.
Monochrome charges a 0.25% p.a. management fee on both the Monochrome Bitcoin ETF (IBTC) and the Monochrome Ethereum ETF (IETH), the lowest tier among comparable Australian crypto-asset ETFs.
Monochrome settles in-kind applications and redemptions with the applicable on-chain network fee (gas or Bitcoin network fee) charged separately, outside the 0.25% management fee.
In August 2022, Australia's Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) added crypto-asset permissions to the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL, Australia's core financial-services licence) of Monochrome's responsible entity Vasco Trustees, enabling spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
