Sodotについて
Sodot provides self-custody MPC key management infrastructure for institutional clients such as exchanges, custodians, and wallets that handle large numbers of private keys. Its scheme splits a single private key into multiple shares, with the client holding the critical share itself, while the server-side component Vertex runs inside a trusted execution environment enclave, so Sodot can never see the complete key.
On the technical side it supports the DKLs23 protocol for ECDSA and the FROST protocol, covering curves and signature types such as BIP340, Ed25519, and Sr25519. Signature thresholds can be adjusted dynamically per transaction scenario, and a programmable policy engine constrains transfer conditions, limits, and approval flows. Public materials mention clients including Exodus, BitGo, MoonPay, eToro and Flow Traders, and disclose SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 reports issued by EY along with cryptography audits completed by Trail of Bits and NCC Group. Its design focus is letting institutions keep control while still gaining usability and the ability to scale.
Sodot launched its Exchange API Vault on January 29, 2026, an enterprise-grade API key management product for institutional trading teams. The product uses MPC and TEE to split keys so the full secret is never exposed in plaintext, with real-time auditing and a kill switch for instant runtime remediation, while keeping low latency for high-frequency trading.
Flow Traders is among the first clients to deploy Sodot, with eToro, Exodus, Flowdesk and Raise also on the customer list.
Future strategy and roadmap: Sodot plans to keep promoting its self-hosted MPC/TEE key orchestration to exchanges, market makers and liquidity providers, and to pursue third-party security audits to expand institutional adoption.
