XSTAR

XSTAR is an omnichain identity protocol for proof of humanity, structured in three tiers. The identity layer issues XID, a W3C-aligned identifier that combines biometric data, social account bindings and a wallet address into a single cross-chain resolvable name. The computation layer scores addresses from three-dimensional facial features, social graph relationships and attendance at offline events, producing a humanity score that third parties can query.

For privacy, facial data is converted into feature vectors that carry no image data and stored under RSA combined with randomised AES-256 encryption, with no raw liveness footage retained; the relevant checks have passed level one and level two presentation attack detection testing at NIST and NVLAP laboratories. The application layer includes XNAME, an omnichain naming service whose cross-chain messages travel over Axelar and LayerZero, a points system and a social game. The protocol also exposes proof-of-humanity-as-a-service interfaces so block explorers can display an address's humanity level, creator platforms can verify rights ownership, and DAOs can filter automated accounts during votes.
