Taostats launched its browser extension wallet on February 19, 2026, supporting up to four connected wallets including Ledger, with built-in MEV Shield and TaoStats Shield for staking and transferring TAO and subnet Alpha tokens. On April 27 it released the Bittensor Auth Gateway, mapping on-chain identity to login credentials via OAuth2/OIDC and issuing JWTs carrying hotkey, coldkey, subnet participation and stake level, open-sourced under MIT with a hosted option.
In July 2026 taostats reported 15 billion monthly RPC requests and cut monthly RPC infrastructure spend from $6,700 to $2,500 after moving to Blockmachine; the API expanded to 167 endpoints, adding interfaces such as root claim timestamps for independent yield verification.
taostats' roadmap centers on using Subnet 19 (BlockMachine) as its backend engine, extending the API, wallet and on-chain identity product lines, and opening indexed data to third-party builders.
Marcus Graichen — Founder & CEO; has led taostats as Bittensor's official block explorer and data platform since 2022.
Julien du Bois — Builder; contributes to platform development.
