ApeCoinについて
ApeCoin（APE）はApeエコシステムのエコシステムトークンであり、主にApeCoin DAOのガバナンスに使用され、保有者は提案に投票します。また、ApeChain（2024年10月ローンチ）のガストークンとして機能し、エコシステム内での決済・インセンティブツールとしても利用されています。 その中核的なストーリーは、BAYC NFTコミュニティトークンからチェーンネイティブアセットへと移行しており、取引所との統合（例：Binance）により参入障壁が低下しています。しかし、実際のユースケースは依然として弱く、デイリーアクティブアドレスは約10,000～10,700、日次取引数は約71,400、TPSは1未満、平均的な日次ガス代はわずか約145ドルです。ApeChainのTVLはピーク時の3,400万ドルから450万～570万ドルに低下し、新規アドレス作成数は1日あたり約343件にとどまっています。NFT市場の暴落（BAYCのフロア価格は約94%下落、NFT取引量は約90%減少）と、元のDAO構造の解散（AIP-596、ApeCoへの移行）により、さらなる信頼低下が生じています。 過去6ヶ月間（2026年3月8日～2026年9月8日）において、BinanceはネイティブApeChain統合を拡大し、SECは告発なしで調査を終了し、規制リスクが解消されました。それでもオンチェーン活動は低調で、クジラは様子見の姿勢を崩していません。エコシステムは明確な問題に直面しています。インフラは存在するが、需要が不足しているのです。ApeCoへのガバナンス移行はまだ初期段階にあり、その実行による影響は実証されていません。
ApeCoinの主要なマイルストーンは2024年2月、AIP-378が可決され、ApeChainの技術としてArbitrumが50.35%の票を獲得したことに始まる。ジェンキンステストネットは4月、カーティステストネットは7月にローンチされ、メインネットは10月20日に稼働を開始した。APEはLayerZero OFT規格にアップグレードされ、ApeChainのネイティブガストークンとなり、すべてのトランザクションでガスが燃焼されると同時に自動的に利回りが発生し、デフレスパイラルを生み出している。10月21日、APEは0.748ドルから1.758ドルへと135%以上急騰した。2025年、AIP-596はDAOの解散と、Yuga Labs設立のエンティティであるApeCoへのガバナンス移管を提案し、ApeChain、BAYC、Othersideに焦点を当てた創業者主導モデルへの移行を目指している。バイナンスはArbitrum One上でのAPE統合を完了し、定期預金商品をローンチした。また、ApeCoin財団はキャメロン・ケイツをCEOに任命し、ガバナンスとエコシステムの成熟における新たな局面を迎えている。
Governance and treasury: Yuga Labs said on May 29 it would take full operational control by June 5, a proposal to dissolve the ApeCoin DAO passed with 99.66% approval and the roughly $168 million treasury moved to ApeCo; APE no longer carries governance rights and 10 million tokens were reserved for transition and legal costs.
Supply and incentives: all original unlocks finished in March, leaving the full 1 billion circulating, while the APE staking contract's funding expired that month; the token set an all-time low of $0.0817 on April 2 and the Q3 Ape Accelerator requires projects to spend APE to submit.
On September 9, 2026 ApeChain upgraded to ArbOS 51, adding native cryptographic operations, better block utilisation, more sensible gas pricing under load and expanded EVM features. On July 31 the chain's native stablecoin migrated from apeUSD to Circle's USDC, adding USDC backing for APE and simplifying onboarding, and on October 18 Yuga Labs and BAYC launched Mudwater, a physical and digital trading card set on Solana whose 2.5% secondary royalty automatically buys APE for card holders.
Governance changed completely during the year: the ApeCoin DAO was dissolved by AIP-596 in June 2025 and replaced by the corporate entity ApeCo, and on April 24, 2026 Michael Figge became Yuga Labs chief executive with co-founder Greg Solano moving to chairman, a move that briefly lifted APE about 92%. The cost is scale: in late September ApeChain held about $3.1 million in TVL with roughly 10,000 daily active addresses, and APE traded near $0.156, about 99% below its peak.
ApeCoin's Future strategy and roadmap: rebuild usage through Otherside and onchain apps so APE is genuinely spent on gas and fees, and widen the holder base through cross-chain issuance.
