KnoxNetについて
KnoxNet is an offline-first layer-1 privacy network that argues privacy should be achieved by removing the internet from the execution path itself: payments can complete with no network connection at all. Its architecture is a dual-domain ledger. In the execution domain, transactions happen locally between devices without global broadcast or real-time consensus, with peer-to-peer transfers over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct and mesh networking, while the settlement domain later reconciles executed transactions on the KnoxNet layer-1 using homomorphic encryption and deterministic fraud proofs.
The protocol has three layers: an offline execution domain for device-to-device transfers, a layer-1 ledger for collateral-backed issuance and global enforcement, and a reconciliation layer that turns offline activity into encrypted settlement updates. The project has demonstrated end-to-end device transfers in full airplane mode, with offline notes, encryption primitives, ownership verification, lineage tracking and duplicate detection all running without servers or internet access; token contracts have been audited by Hacken and the iOS app has been submitted to Apple for TestFlight review.
On March 17, 2026 KnoxNet deployed its KNX contract on Ethereum with a one billion supply, the token used to escrow value for offline notes, pay settlement fees and take part in governance. On April 11 it released an internal proof-of-concept video in which two fully offline devices transferred value peer to peer over Bluetooth; on April 12 it announced upcoming public testing of its mobile app, and the contract has been audited by Hacken.
On May 10 KnoxNet detailed a dual-domain design: an execution layer that validates offline notes locally, a settlement layer that reconciles them in batches using homomorphic encryption, and a consensus layer that secures total supply, with no global broadcast before a device reconnects, limiting metadata leaks such as timing and network behaviour.
KnoxNet plans to ship the Knox SDK in mid-2026 for third-party offline payment integrations, launch a native privacy mainnet testnet later in the year with offline node stress testing, and eventually support cross-chain private settlement so assets from other chains can circulate as offline notes.
