Liskについて
Lisk started in 2016 as a standalone chain that lowered the barrier to building through JavaScript sidechains and custom token issuance, and in 2024 became an OP Stack rollup on Ethereum using LSK for gas, aimed at payments and real-world asset applications in emerging markets. As an optimistic rollup it puts execution on the second layer while settlement and data availability stay with Ethereum, with entry and exit through an official bridge and the sequencer coordinated by the foundation side.
On 25 August 2026 the founder announced that Lisk Chain would close on 31 October and the DAO would be dissolved; on 28 September the treasury burned 100 million LSK, cutting total supply from 400 million to 300 million, and the price fell more than 40% that day. Wind-down terms remove staking penalties and shorten unbonding to 3 days, convert the token into points for a new corporate treasury platform, and move the mainnet to Ethereum and Base. A centralised exchange opened 1:1 migration on 18 September, while on-chain holders had to bridge back to Ethereum before the closure, a process taking about 8 days.

Chain shutdown and burn: Founder Max Kordek announced on August 25 that Lisk Chain closes on October 31 and the DAO winds down; 100 million LSK was burned on September 28, cutting total supply from 400 million to 300 million, and the price fell more than 40% that day.
Incentives and migration: Staking penalties were removed and unlocking now needs a three-day wait; the token becomes a loyalty token for the new enterprise treasury platform, with Ethereum and Base as primary networks. Crypto.com supported 1:1 migration from September 18, and chain holders must bridge back to Ethereum, about eight days, before the shutdown.
On August 25, 2026 founder Max Kordek said Lisk would pivot to enterprise treasury software, with the Lisk Chain shutting down on October 31, the DAO phased out and 100 million LSK burned from the treasury to cut total supply from 400 million to 300 million. The stated reason is that Layer 2 revenue could not sustain incentive cycles while demand for business-to-business stablecoin payments rose.
Holders had to start migrating by October 21: three days to unstake plus a seven-day optimistic rollup challenge period, with bridging requiring a withdrawal, a proof submitted about an hour later and a claim after the challenge window, and a missing proof leaving funds permanently inaccessible. Developers can move to Celo voluntarily, and LSK becomes a loyalty token on Ethereum and Base used for platform fee discounts and referral rewards. With the token stripped of gas and governance roles, LSK's value now depends on platform usage rather than a security budget.
Lisk's new platform puts bank accounts and stablecoin wallets in one account, starting with unified payables and receivables before adding permissions, corporate cards, non-custodial treasury and payroll integrations.
