Major developments: On June 7 the founder announced a revival of MEW led by the original CTO team; in mid-September former Robinhood engineers were charged for trading MEW on May 22 using confidential listing information, profiting over $50,000.
Fundamentals: In mid-September MEW jumped 20% in a day amid renewed Solana memecoin momentum, with market cap recovering to roughly $30-55 million, still about 95% below its $0.01288 all-time high.
On 13 August 2026, MEW integrated Ondo Perps, opening perpetual futures on U.S. stocks, ETFs and commodities inside MyEtherWallet.com and MEW Portfolio, with 24/7 trading and up to 20x leverage, compatible with the MEW mobile app, browser extensions such as MetaMask, hardware wallets and WalletConnect; U.S. users are excluded.
On 14 July it started a four-week Hot Stock Summer campaign, offering more than 400 tokenized stocks and ETFs through Ondo Finance, paying 10 USDC to users who traded $100 and held for 14 days. MEW said over 65% of tokenized-stock users buy repeatedly, more than 10,000 users explore such assets daily, and tokenized SpaceX shares were available on the first day of its IPO.
Future strategy and roadmap: The next step for MEW is packaging the self-custodial wallet as a single venue for holding and leveraging stocks, ETFs and crypto.
