Namadaについて
Namada is a proof-of-stake Layer 1 in the Cosmos ecosystem built around a multi-asset shielded pool. Users deposit IBC-transferred ATOM, TIA or stablecoins into one anonymity set and prove with a zk-SNARK that an input belongs to the set and is unspent without revealing asset type, amount or address, so assets from different chains share a single pool instead of forming isolated mixers. Blocks are produced with CometBFT, validators are elected by stake and penalised cubically for double signing; shielded transfers, shielded swaps and the public-goods tax rate settle in one state machine, with two-way conversion between shielded and transparent balances.
The shielded pool places assets from several chains in one anonymity set: users bring ATOM, TIA or stablecoins over IBC and prove with a zk-SNARK that an input belongs to the set and is unspent, without revealing asset type, amount or address. Shielded and transparent balances convert both ways, and shielded transfers, shielded swaps and the public-goods tax rate settle in one state machine. On 18 June 2026 the pool was exploited and roughly USD 600,000 left through IBC within hours.

Security incident: Namada confirmed on June 18 that its shielded pool was exploited, with about $600,000 drained including 228,517 ATOM moved out over IBC within hours. Tracked TVL collapsed to under $600 in a day, and the team is still investigating without disclosing the vulnerability type.
Mechanics: Total supply is 1 billion with no genesis lockups. Staking rewards and shielded-pool incentives are each capped at 10% a year, alongside a governance-set public goods funding rate; no buyback or burn exists.
On September 15, 2026 the Cosmos-based privacy chain Namada completed the final phase of its mainnet launch: governance enabled IBC asset transfers and shielding, and NAM's free-market distribution and transfers opened, with trading beginning. Namada uses a unified shielded set and shielded actions to give cross-chain assets a composable privacy layer, backed by the Anoma Foundation (about $60 million raised). It is preparing Bitcoin support via Lombard and Babylon, Ethereum and Solana bridges, and private swaps on Osmosis.
Future strategy and roadmap: Namada enabled IBC transfers and shielding and opened free NAM distribution. Next it will advance Shielded Expansion (Ethereum, Solana, Base bridges), Shielded Integration (shielded outposts on external chains) and Shielded Transformation (the Anoma stack), support Bitcoin via Lombard and Babylon, bridge Ethereum and Solana, offer private swaps on Osmosis, and fund public goods through prize-based PGF.
