Wanchainについて
Wanchain is cross-chain infrastructure built since 2017 around its own EVM-compatible PoS chain. Bridges are run by Storeman node groups that jointly manage locked accounts through secure multi-party computation, holding key shares separately so signing needs several parties; an asset locked on the source chain is minted 1:1 as a mapped asset on the destination, validators stake WAN and can be slashed, and both lock-mint and burn-mint modes work across heterogeneous chains including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cardano, alongside SDKs for cross-chain messages and transfers.
Its role is an inter-chain clearing layer, with the public chain handling accounting and Storeman handling custody and verification; compared with relay-only bridges it adds an asset-locking step, which suits native asset mapping. On 20 July 2026 the Cardano to BNB Chain bridge was exploited through signature reuse, with 515 million NIGHT stolen and losses of about $6.5 million; the bridge was taken offline and a 90/10 white-hat return offer was made.

On June 1, 2026, Wanchain completed a hyperspeed upgrade improving cross-chain performance. On July 20 its bridge suffered a ~$6.5 million security incident (NIGHT token); on July 31 funds were recovered via a white-hat settlement. It integrated Rango and Plasma on July 24 and restarted its bridge and cross-chain services on VeChain via XFlows on August 13.
Future strategy and roadmap: After the bridge incident, Wanchain will strengthen cross-chain risk controls and audits, expand XFlows' supported chains, and advance the high-throughput interoperability from its hyperspeed upgrade.
