Ancient8について
Ancient8 is an Ethereum layer 2 for blockchain games built on OP Stack with Celestia providing data availability, alongside publishing, quest and community tools. It serves game studios and players, addressing general-purpose chains whose fees and block cadence fit poorly with frequent small in-game actions, and game assets and account systems that stay fragmented. Fees are paid in ETH, and in-game actions can be batched to lower per-action cost.
The execution layer is EVM compatible, batches transactions to Ethereum and pushes data availability to Celestia to cut costs; a sequencer orders and produces blocks while security assumptions inherit the optimistic rollup challenge mechanism. Companion tools include a quest platform, a game distribution entry and an onchain identity tying player actions to asset records. Withdrawals return to Ethereum after the challenge period, with bridged assets held by the official bridge contracts.
