Solana is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain for DeFi, NFT and high-frequency application developers, supporting on-chain trading and settlement with low fees and high throughput. Institutional flows expanded in parallel: US spot SOL ETFs, launched October 28, 2025, had drawn about $1.158 billion in cumulative net inflows by August 2026, and Morgan Stanley listed MSOL on NYSE Arca on July 28 with a 0.14% fee, the first staking-enabled spot SOL ETP from a US bank-affiliated asset manager.
